All too often, it seems, zealous sales people chant the liturgy of their 5 Meg Download (D/L) rate and 360K Upload (U/L) rates to us. Cool beenz, it seemz, but probably not what your FTP program will report nor the classic Engineering standard notation! :-(.. . . . .
To see the advertised vs. "actuals", enter any value into any field and click any other field for actuals. For example: try the often-advertised 5.0 in the "megabits/sec" slot or the 360 "speed" in the "kilobits/sec" slot to see what the "actuals" are. A common and typical example is as follows:
(3.0 MB = only 360 KiloBytes/sec and 360 Kilobits = only 44 KiloBytes/sec.)
